- Who can become a member of myMuse?
MyMuse is a closed membership organization, specifically created for creative individuals. If you are creative and generate intellectual or physical creative property then you qualify. You will be asked to populate a gallery to demonstrate your creative work.
- Will my information be sold or used by anyone without my permission, and is my personal information private?
Trust is the hallmark of myMuse. Your information will never be sold or used by a 3rd party.
- What makes myMuse work for creative individuals?
myMuse members connect, communicate and collaborate geocentrically with other qualified individuals working in a trusted closed commercial platform. Most creative occupations, disciplines, Associations and Foundations are represented and accessible in myMuse.
- What tools and features does myMuse provide further my creative interests?
Members are provided with customized tools and communication features:
multi genre galleries; in/outbound pinpoint filtered geocentric searches; transactional capabilities; myMuse Jobs (which provides employment and consignment connectivity with employers); collaboration and networking search features; creative personal connection; contextual feeds dashboard; a personal file-sharing center, educational resources and much more.
- What does a 'closed membership' site mean?
To protect the privacy of members and ensure the reliability of their communications and transactions, only verified creative individuals may become myMuse members. This policy limits professional feature and communication access to members only, (constituting a 'closed' site). Spammers, aggregators and phishing entities will be precluded from engaging in their nefarious activities on myMuse.
- Can the public find me and my work on myMuse?
Yes, your fans and the public can find you and purchase your work by simply coming to the site and entering your screen name. They can also find you by geocentrically entering your occupational keywords and tags.
- Are there special deals/discounts for myMuse members?
By aggregating the vast creative community we will soon be able to collectively provide group discounts on products, services and facilitate arts advocacy outreach campaigns. As the community grows, benefits such as life, instrument and health insurance and other collective resources will become possible.
- How do I sell products through myMuse?
You will be provided tools to facilitate transactions directly from your galleries. Currently the myMuse transactional partner is PayPal. You may use your existing PayPal business account or myMuse will help facilitate setting up your new PayPal account.
- If I sell products from my myMuse will there be a transaction marketing fee due myMuse?
Yes, if you sell products through your myMuse gallery you will be assessed a 5% myMuse marketing administration fee.
- Do I have to be a professional to become a member of myMuse?
No. Hobbyists, students and anyone who is actively creating is eligible for membership.
